Assist with sponsored project accounting including earned value management calculations, 533 reporting and invoice backup information.
Maintain encumbrances and track expenses, revenues, invoicing and payments for assigned chartcoms. Assist with corrective actions as needed. Collaborate/consult with senior administrators, principal investigators and managers on financial issues.
Process department recharges and rebills, including SUB uploads.
Prepare regular and ad hoc reports as assigned. Assist with preparation of templates for reporting. Upload accounting forms to establish budgets/re-budgets. Update department financial databases as needed. Maintain files for projects and proposals. Archive hard and soft copy files for inactivated projects and proposals.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or equivelent work experience, demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to build successful relationships with a wide variety of people at all levels; demonstrated excellent communications skills, both oral and written; ability to independently organize, multi-task and anticipate customer needs; a flexible can-do attitude and ability to establish priorities and problem solve; demonstrated understanding and use of microsoft office software; demonstrated attention to detail.
College degree in a related discipline; accounting/business office background; demonstrated experience with complex administrative office procedures; experience with M-Pathways Financials and Business Objects.
