Job Summary

This posting is for a full-time research assistant who will work on a neuroimaging research study in adolescents and young adults, focused on substance use and mental health. The research assistant will work with the principal investigators and other members of the research team at the University of Michigan.

Responsibilities*

Responsibilities include screening, scheduling and conduct of in-person and telephone interviews and neuroimaging assessments with participants. This includes administration of neuropsychological tests, clinical assessments, substance use batteries and functional and structural neuroimaging.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor Degree in Psychology or related field, or equivalent education and experience. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical.
  • The candidate should be comfortable discussing sensitive behaviors such as substance use with participants and their families.
  • Schedule must be flexible to allow for work on school days-off, evenings and weekends.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience administering diagnostic interviews and other test batteries strongly preferred.
  • At least a two year commitment preferred.

Weekdays, some late afternoons on weekdays (approximately 3-7pm); some weekends
