Job Summary

The Department of Internal Medicine seeks candidates to assist the study team in human subject clinical trials in Cardiovascular Disease, with a focus on Heart Failure.  The research assistant will support the research team with enrollment of subjects into both inpatient and outpatient clinical research studies. We are recruiting for several studies that involve investigational medications and devices, observational studies, and registries.


The research assistant will be responsible for reviewing patient health records for eligibility criteria, maintaining an accurate screening log, administering informed consent and enrolling patients, performing non-invasive testing and administering questionnaires to patients, scheduling upcoming appointments, data entry, and assisting the research team with daily activities.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor degree in biomedical or health-related sciences; ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with others; good verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task and sustain a high level of organization; punctual and detail-oriented. Prior experience in clinical research preferred, but not required. Proficiency in the use of MS Office products.

Work Schedule

M-F days, however days of week can be flexible depending on personal schedule. At least 30 hours/week desirable.

Background Screening
