Job Summary

The Department of Physics is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant to help with projects and events in a large academic department. Projects may include setting up for events, gathering and entering data, managing correspondence, and scheduling meetings, as well as other projects as assigned.

Up to two positions are available. Interested candidates should submit cover letter and resume and include availability and preferred schedule.

Required Qualifications*

A track record of reliability, good attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent people skills. Good written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and some experience with data entry. Flexibility and adaptability – willingness to work on different projects as assigned.

Desired Qualifications*

Graduation from a college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and at least one year of general business experience is preferred.

Work Schedule

20-40 hrs/week, flexible scheduling
Duration: Now through May, 2019

Pay Rate: $15/hr
