Manage and support all student information and recruiting systems used by the Undergraduate Admissions Department (Banner, EMAS Recruitment Pro/Campaign Pro, Image Now, Degree Works). This includes providing documentation, training, and end user installation/support.
Conducts and coordinates the analysis, design, and implementation of computer based systems to meet user requirements.
Plans and directs data processing applications and designs proposals to find alternative processes to satisfy existing and future needs of the undergraduate admissions office.
Participates in systems software development and maintenance as required.
Assists with decision making of data processing systems.
Develops conversion and system implementation plans.
Conducts a full range of programming tasks including program design, program coding, debugging and documentation for a variety of general applications programs including data manipulation, input and output routines reflecting a variety of equipment configurations.
Programs logical interfaces and applies techniques for efficient program logic and data manipulation.
Develops operator and control instructions; maintains and updates existing programs of a non-routine nature.
Conducts systems programming and support activities such as new or revised segments of language codes or processing.
Monitors effective hardware utilization, reviews system logic for optimum throughput. Work frequently includes program maintenance and error detection/correction of existing codes/languages and/or revisions to systems documentation.
Deliver development and support for standard reports and queries run throughout the year to support business objectives of the department.
Perform systems administration tasks, including user access, data maintenance, upgrade testing, and data bridge/data import loads as required.
Provide documentation, training, and end user installation/support for custom applications and web applications.
Implement changes, test, and provide support for the undergraduate admission application (Common App).
Maintain and support the department’s website, including interactive elements such as campus tour and event registrations, and lead piece site.
Work closely with university key stakeholders (ITS, AIMS, and University departments) for advance support.
Maintain Merit Scholarship offer and maintain database and acceptance sites. Assist with scholarship planning. Provide query support and status reporting.
Manage and maintain shared files, archive files, and data.
Upload and manage data from outside sources and website (College Board, ACT, Cappex).
Document and develop applications that support changing department services and needs.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or related area from an accredited college or university.
Three or more years’ experience in systems analysis/programming activities in business or education environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience utilizing various programming languages including Perl, SQL, PL/SQL, and XML.
Previous experience managing a database and working with database-driven web-based applications.
Experience with code versioning systems such as GIT or CVS.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
Must have strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral skills.
Proven ability to operate independently, make independent decisions, and work collaboratively with key stakeholders.

Three to four years’ systems analysis/programming activities in higher education. Familiarity with Ellucian Banner, Image Now, EMAS CRM Recruitment, and Drupal.
