Enterprise Infrastructure – 

The HITS Enterprise Infrastructure division secures, manages, and architects Michigan Medicine data centers, networks, and communication infrastructures. The team is responsible for all Michigan Medicine IT-related technical infrastructure, including data centers and communication facilities; wired, wireless, and in-house cellular networks; spectrum management; communication; complex device management; fiber/wiring plant; hosting; directories, databases, and storage; and continuity of operations institution-wide. The team collaborates with partners across Michigan Medicine to assure the security, stability, reliability, scalability, and economic management of the institution’s technology infrastructure.

Job Summary

As a member of the Michigan Medicine Identity and Access Management team you will assist in supporting our key services (including technologies from Micro Focus, Microsoft, Oracle, CyberArk, DUO, and others) and help us deliver new and innovative solutions that address our customers’ requirements.  This is an exciting, challenging, and rewarding opportunity for the right person.

Responsibilities*

As an Identity & Access Management Engineer, your primary duties will include developing, enhancing, and supporting the services provided by the Identity Management Team.  These include directory services, Authentication services, and Authentication services.

  • Work with business customers and other technical engineers, analyze, design, code, implement, test, debug and maintain Identity management interfaces, databases, and services. Evaluate, select and implement software tools required to provide Identity Management services. Provide documentation of; design, technical specifications and supply support materials.
  • Develop and execute test plans to support software deployments and availability. Assist business analysts and others in the automation of testing and the creation of test data. Develop and maintain “Use Case” tests.
  • Provide support including deployments, upgrades, implementation and troubleshooting of Identity and Access Management service changes in a 99.999% uptime production environment as well as pre-production and development environment.
  • Provide 2nd / 3rd level support to Helpdesk and departmental staff in identifying and resolving identity management related issues.

 

Required Qualifications*

Required Qualifications for Senior Position: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience in Enterprise Directory Architecture and Design including directory schema, namespace and replication topology
  • 2+ years’ experience in Identity & Access Governance including role-based access control, access request and certification
  • 2+ years in two or more programming languages: powershell, python, perl, java script, SQL/Stored procedures
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and extraction techniques ( RegX, sed, grep, etc)
  • Working knowledge of directories such as Oracle Internet Directory, Micro Focus NETIQ eDirectory Microsoft Active Directory, etc.
  • Hands on experience with one or more databases such as Oracle, MySQL and MS SQL
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation

Required Qualifications for Intermediate Position: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Enterprise Directory Architecture and Design including directory schema, namespace and replication topology
  • 1 year experience in Identity & Access Governance including role-based access control, access request and certification
  • 1 year in two or more programming languages: powershell, python, perl, java script, SQL/Stored procedures
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and extraction techniques ( RegX, sed, grep, etc)
  • Working knowledge of directories such as Oracle Internet Directory, Micro Focus NETIQ eDirectory Microsoft Active Directory, etc.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Exposure to a variety of technologies such as multi-tiered applications, databases, LDAP and directory services, application servers, network infrastructure, and understanding security and data flow within these components
  • 7+ years of Identity and Access Management hands-on experience in a large-scale enterprise IAM environment
  • 3+ years of regular expression experience
  • Strong Networking knowledge
  • Self-starter, fast learner, and flexible to support new technologies as well as legacy applications
