The Department of Chemistry is seeking Lecturers to teach the following courses: Chemistry 126 – Synthesis and Characterization of Organic Compounds; Chemistry 215 – Structure & Reactivity II; and, Chemistry 483 – Advance Methods in Physical Analysis.
The appointments are for Winter Term 2019 only (January 1 – May 2). The postions are at 33.33% effort.
Terms and conditions of employment for this position are subject to the provisions of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers Employee Organization.
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates who are Research Fellows in good standing in the Department of Chemistry or the Program in Biophysics. Qualified candidates should be fluent in the area of expertise and exhibit evidence of excellent teaching skills.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
