A Research Investigator position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Gregory Tall to study mechanisms of G protein and adhesion G protein coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling. The laboratory has uncovered novel means of G protein regulation and developed an extensive array of tools for genetic and pharmacologic manipulation of these pathways. The candidate will conduct research and publish and present results, and contribute to the overall operation of the laboratory. The laboratory uses a broad range of methodologies that offer opportunities for training in multiple disciplines. Our laboratory has been highly efficient and productive and demonstrated a track record of commitment to the development of students and postdoctoral fellows for successful scientific careers.
The position requires a Ph.D. or M.D. and at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience, including industrial experience. The ideal candidate has a background in biochemistry and/or cell biology, an expertise in any of the following areas: cell and tissue cultures, protein biochemistry/purification, or molecular biology, and a record of first author publication(s) in quality journal(s).
