This posting is for a research assistant position to assist with data collection, data entry and data management for the MITTEN project. The MITTEN (Michigan ICU Teamwork for Effective complex interventions) project is a mixed-methods study that is examining ICU teamwork and how it influences outcomes for adult ICU patients.
The RA will be responsible for assisting with data collection and specifically, a brief survey to be administered on weekday mornings, to ICU clinicians (nurses, respiratory therapists, physicians etc.) during particular weeks over the fall and winter semester. The applicant will be joining an existing team of nurses and students (doctoral and undergraduate) led by Dr. Deena Costa that are examining how the ICU team works together (or not) to deliver high quality care. If you like interacting with clinicians in the healthcare setting and learning about research, this is the ideal position for you!
Bachelor’s degree in public health or health science field is recommended, master degree is preferred. Must be proficient in Excel and Qualtrics; facility with iPads
for data entry would be ideal.
Hours per week: 10-15 hours
Hourly rate: $12 / hour
Start date: ASAP
