A research lab specialist Intermediate/senior to support rabbit models for vascular regeneration at the NCRC.
The qualified candidate will actively participate in all aspects of vascular biology experimentation and tissue engineering both in vitro and in vivo. Routine duties will include stem cell culture, histopathological analyses, various molecular biology assays and techniques including, antibody microarrays, genome editing, Western-blotting, flow cytometry and protein expression and purifications. Rabbit experiments will include survival surgery and experimentations, primarily cell isolation and transplantation. You will be in a research team working with vessel engineering. This position requires daily team work with research staff including bioengineers, cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, but also a fair amount of autonomy with regard to project objectives, data analysis and subsequent interpretation as well as preparing and writing results for grants, presentations and scientific publications.
- Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position.
- 5-6 years related experience
- Supervisory and financial management experience.

- 4 years of experience in a related field
Candidates with a Bachelor Degree in biological science, six or more years lab operations experience in the fields of vascular biology and a demonstrable publication record are strongly encouraged to apply. Work with prior rabbit models of vascular diseases is required. Experiences with molecular biology and stem cell biology are required. Meticulous organization and superb communication skills are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and GraphPad Prism essential.
