The Michigan Opioid Prescribing Engagement Network (Michigan OPEN) CQI Coordinator is responsible for supporting Michigan OPEN's partnerships with collaborative quality initiative (CQI) programs to research and implement opioid prescribing and disposal best practices.
Opioid Disposal Initiatives:
- Lead planning, coordination, execution and evaluation of Michigan OPEN's bi-annual Medication Take Back events with statewide and national partners.
- Lead statewide and national recruitment efforts for additional Take Back event partnerships.
- Plan and facilitate Take Back event meetings with both internal and external partners.
- Support the implementation of opioid disposal best practices across the state including Take Back events, dropboxes, and alternative methods.
CQI Program Coordination:
- Consult with CQI's in developing quality initiatives within partnering hospitals.
- Refine and implement opioid prescribing recommendations and care pathways with CQI partners.
- Collect metrics for CQI meetings, information sessions, workshops, and programs.
- Help develop and design data collection, analysis and implementation of Michigan OPEN's Transition of Care initiatives including risk assessment instruments and care pathways models.
- Assist in the development and writing of best practice guidelines, literature reviews, toolkits, articles, grant proposals, continuing education courses and trainings.
- Deliver training and facilitation of Michigan OPEN's initiatives within the CQI platforms.
- Bachelor's Degree and 4-5 years of experience in social work, public health, health care of similar field.
- Ability to exercise initiative as a critical member of a team and to work independently with high efficiency and productivity.
- Professional demeanor and customer-service oriented manner.
- Proven ability to successfully interact with a diverse group of people.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* This is a term-limited appointment. At the end of the stated term, the appointment will terminate and will not be eligible for Reduction in Force (RIF) benefits.
