Job Summary

Provide safe and effective nursing care as assigned to our congenital and acquired heart disease patients, ranging in age from newborn to adulthood.  This position is a float position within the division, providing vacation coverage and assistance with the increasing work of the nurses in the department.  These areas include: anticoagulation management, phone triage and ADP work-up.  Family centered care is provided in collaboration with all members of the health care team in this highly specialized population.  Candidate must be a team player who is highly motivated to provide excellent care in a highly technical environment.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.

Required Qualifications*

Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
Minimum of two (2) years recent (within the last 2 years) experience in an acute care setting, caring for pediatric congenital heart patients.

Work Schedule

Hours per week: 32 hours
Shift/ Days/ Hours: Day shift; hours will be between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, 8 hours per day
Location: Pediatric Cardiology Clinic and Procedure Area

All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census
