Job Summary

The division of Hematology -Oncology within the department of Internal Medicine is seeking a qualified candidate for a multi-faceted position that includes but is not limited to supervisory responsibilities, both administrative and functional, administrative support and research lab support. The candidate must convey professionalism, have the ability to multi-task, work with limited supervision, demonstrate clear communication, and provide proven examples of team-building / team work.


Supervisor for Administrative support staff:
Administratively manage and supervise 5 -7 administrative support staff members
Review and approve time off ensuring adequate coverage and cross training
Establish, measure, and monitor performance standards and ensure staff are trained to meet or exceed those standards
Assign staff to meet divisional needs
Academic on-boarding of staff

Faculty administrative support:
Academic on-boarding of faculty
Supporting 1-3 faculty
Managing complex calendars

Division space management:
Managing division space within M-Pathways

Research Lab/ Lab manager support:
This position will provide support to approximately 7 research lab managers by assisting with administrative matters such as creation / updates and /or adherence to policies and procedures, division or department updates via quarterly meetings and support for all HR related issues.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

2 or more years of supervisory experience

Ability to work and build professional relationships with faculty and staff at all levels.
