Job Summary

General Description: We are seeking an individual who has experience with multi-site clinical research to serve as the Site-specific Lead Study Coordinator in a large NIH-funded project that tracks infant/toddler development. The PediaTrac Project is a collaborative project between University of Michigan/Michigan Medicine, Eastern Michigan University (EMU), Case Western Reserve/University Hospital, William Beaumont Hospital, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.  The Site-specific Lead Study Coordinator will serve a vital role in coordinating data acquisition at the University of Michigan and communicating with the other sites, as delineated in the responsibilities and duties outlined below. The Department of Psychology at EMU will serve as the central site and overall data repository. There is a possibility that this position will become full time.

Responsibilities*

• Maintain IRB/regulatory approval (amend protocols, report ORIOs and AEs, etc.)
• Order supplies and maintain budget
• Monitor data collection including oversight of participant tracking and communication, audits of study data and data cleaning
• Manage study team communication
• Troubleshoot any issues
• Conduct training for new study personnel
• Assist with preparation of sponsor reports
• Assist with dissemination of interim study results (manuscripts, posters)
• Project close-out activities
• Complete IRB/regulatory close-out reporting
• Assist with preparation of final sponsor reports
• Help clean and lock the final study database
• Assist with dissemination of final study results (manuscripts, posters)
• Supervise research staff and students
• Assign and prioritize work
• Handle HR issues (e.g., complete and conduct performance appraisals, approve time, etc.)
• Provide mentorship
• Complete other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications*

  • Experience reviewing medical records and conducting interviews with medical populations
  • Experience with data entry and management and able to learn new electronic data systems
  • Familiarity with IRBs
  • Ability to readily learn new terminology
  • Good writing skills
  • Master's degree in related field

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience with clinical research
  • Background in psychology or social work, or related field
  • Familiarity with electronic data systems (i.e., REDCap) and experience with MiChart

Additional Information

This is a term-limited appointment. At the end of the term, the appointment will terminate and will not be eligible for Reduction in Force (RIF) benefits.
