Job Summary

We are recruiting radiologists to join our growing team in the Division of Emergency Radiology at the Instructor, Assistant/Associate Professor or Professor level on the Clinical Track. Salaries are matched to our local market.

Our growing emergency radiology practice has the breadth and depth of a large academic medical center, blending general emergency and specialty care. You will be part of a culture that emphasizes mentorship, career and leadership development, and embraces diversity. We are seeking individuals who are excellent clinical radiologists and educators, with an aptitude for innovation and/or research. Duties include patient care, teaching medical students, house officers and fellows; with opportunites for clinical based research.  We consistently rank near the top nationally in NIH funding and US News and World Report.

Do you love a dynamic work environment? You will join a team that provides acute clinical care primarily for adult and pediatric emergency medicine patients. Hours are 6 PM to 8 AM with 3 overlapping and staggered 9 hour shifts. We use a 1 week on - 2 weeks off scheduling model. Several radiology residents provide preliminary reports each evening, followed by attending radiologist final interpretation.

Are you passionate about education? The Division provides training for emergency radiology fellows, and to our 44 diagnostic radiology residents. We rank within the top 10 post graduate radiology education programs. You will be integrally involved in multidisciplinary programs, including the Multidisciplinary Trauma Conference.

The Michigan Medicine Medical Campus has connectivity to the Medical School and greater University campus, providing opportunity for collaboration. Required Qualifications*

  • M.D. or equivalent

  • ABR-certified or has passed the core examination and on track to take the certifying examination within 15 months of completing residency

  • Able to obtain an unrestricted full medical license in the State of Michigan

  • A radiology fellowship or practice experience

  • Evidence of clinical competence and comptence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected
