Under general supervision of senior research faculty, will prepare statistical analysis and will interpret collected data from biomedical, laboratory and genetics studies. Will develop multivariate models to evaluate variability in the data, and create oral and written reports, including graphical presentation of the results for scientific audiences and in technical journals. Will develop, document and maintain programs used to perform repeatable tasks. Will participate in designing and managing collected data, including data cleaning and monitoring data quality. Will assist in the development of grant proposals.
Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Epidemiology or some other field which is directly related to the duties of the position, or to have an equivalent combination of education and 5-6 years directly relevant experience. Excellent attention to detail, well organized and able to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision. Strong programming skills in SAS and/or R are required.
