Multiple positions available at a various agencies. Positions involve a wide variety of responsibilities including general office duties with phone and in person service; marketing non-profit institutions; conduct classroom and gallery programs; prepare instructional materials for school and public programs, set up classrooms/demonstration areas; research, compile, verify human services resource data; assist needy families; fund raising, grant writing; and more.
Must be UM-Flint Student.
Must be eligible for WORK STUDY fundings for Fall 2018 and/or Winter 2019.
Ability to relate effectively with people from all economic, racial, age, ethnic, and social groups; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong desire to provide appropriate help to people in need; strong customer relations skills; self-correcting, demonstrates continuous improvement, discipline; able to adapt to changing caseload while maintaining high quality standards; computer database and word processing skills, ability to use computer to complete job functions, willingness to stay informed; have sensitivity to the needs and issues faced by low income persons, including senior citizens, non-English speaking persons, and persons with disabilities.
