Provides support to nursing staff in the delivery of patient and family-centered care. Performs 'guest relation' function that assures the highest standard of care for the patient and family. Facilitates the daily operations of the nursing unit. Ensures an organized and safe environment for patient care. Promotes the personal comfort and convenience of patients and families. Facilitates communication between patients/families and the health care staff to provide a seamless inpatient experience. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
High School graduate or equivalent education. Customer service related experience. Good oral, written, and computer skills. Excellent interpersonal communication. Ability to work independently in an ever-changing and potentially stressful environment. Special Physical Requirement: Walks and stands throughout the day, lifts/pushes equipment and patients.
Associates degree. One year of experience in an acute health care setting. Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
30 hours/week (3)10hr shifts, alternating weekends.
