We are actively seeking a proven and experienced Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to various Ambulatory Care Units (ACUs) (e.g. clinic practices) at Michigan Medicine. As a Financial Analyst, you will join the financial team supporting the medical group operations and will be responsible for a subset of ACUs. The service delivery model will involve routine interactions with ACU leaders, Michigan Medicine leadership, and central finance operations. We are in search of someone who is reliable and has the ability to successfully function with a high degree of autonomy.

In this role, you will maintain knowledge of ACU operations, conduct data analysis, and advise on the financial impact of operational decisions. You will also participate in the improvement of Medical Group operations and meeting future financial and analytical needs.

Required Qualifications*

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, Health Administration, or a related field

  • Intermediate: 2-5 years of professional experience

  • Senior: 5-8 years of professional experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and analytical skills

  • Advanced MS-Excel skills

  • Able to work independently, while working as part of a team

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Able to complete assignments with attention to detail and focus on a zero-defect work product

  • Excellent customer service orientation

Desired Qualifications*

  • We prefer two to three (2-3) years of experience in healthcare finance

  • Strong data analysis skill set

  • Experience with data base query tools (e.g Data warehouse, Tableau, etc.)

  • History of communicating/presenting financials

Work Locations

2500 Green Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Travel will be required to Ambulatory Care Unit sites.

Additional Information

This position will require personal local vehicle travel to various Michigan Medicine units.
