Primary responsibility for data processing, management, and analysis; preparation of manuscripts and reports as needed. This includes cleaning and assembling datasets as well as requesting clarifications from the research sites in Nicaragua.
Coordinate and manage multi-site research projects. Select samples for shipping to multiple sites. Oversee incoming data for multiple sites. Travel to sites as needed.
Establish SOPs for study data cleaning, storage and reproducibility and rigor. Supervise student temporary employees.
Participate in submission of NIH annual progress reports, including study enrollment, tracking of manuscript submissions to pubmed central.
Work independently to draft text for grant submissions and work with department administrators to meet submission deadlines and requirements
Write and edit study protocols and IRB applications; coordinating with and visiting field sites as required; assure compliance with protocols, adherence to good clinical research practice guidelines, and all other federal, local, and University guidelines.
Master's degree in public health, social science or related field with 4 or more years experience in data management; experience with SAS, Microsoft Access, and ImmPort. Excellent skills in written and oral communications, organization and planning; interpersonal and management skills necessary for interaction with staff in multiple locations; able to work independently and as a team member; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel. Able and willing to travel to foreign and domestic research sites when required.
Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, C++ or Visual Basic a plus. Knowledge and skills working with research projects, including familiarity with quantitative research methods of data collection and analysis preferred. Spanish language ability a plus.

THIS IS A TERM-LIMITED APPOINTMENT THAT WILL END ONE YEAR FROM APPOINTMENT START DATE, WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR AN EXTENSION DEPENDING UPON AVAILABLE RESEARCH FUNDING.
