Job Summary

The Office of Admissions and Orientation seeks a motivated and experienced individual to serve as a key member of the team to support the enrollment growth goals of the University.  The Transfer Credit Processing Specialist will join a professional, fast-paced, and cohesive team where work feels like a second home. Under direct supervision, the Transfer Credit Processing Specialist will be responsible for the entry of AP, IB, military, and college transfer credit into the Ellucian database.  The Specialist will also assist with additional credit evaluation processes as well as other office functions related to student files and evaluations.

Responsibilities*

  • Use student information system (Ellucian) to data enter AP, IB, military, and college transfer credit of incoming students - quickly, accurately, and completely to support degree audit and advising
  • Assist with processing a high volume of admission applications and related supporting documents utilizing the customer relationship management (Salesforce) platform
  • Assist with mailing Transfer Equivalency Worksheets to students and providing digital versions to advising units
  • Image and link files
  • Participate in the assignment and release of final transcript holds
  • Provide continuous, timely, and courteous service when assisting all internal and external customers
  • Answer telephone calls and emails related to undergraduate admissions records
  • Assist in quality control through assurance of data integrity
  • Assist with special events and activities which could include some evenings or weekends
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of office goals and core values

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma and commensurate experience at minimum
  • At least one year of data entry (or related) experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office software
  • Strong computer skills with an ability to learn and adapt to technology interfaces
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Demonstrated experience of typing with accuracy and speed
  • Ability to work independently or in a collaborative, team-oriented office environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with all audiences
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Awareness of the needs and expectations of college students and enthusiasm to support them

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience with Ellucian student information system
  • Experience with college transcripts
  • General understanding of college recruiting, admissions, and orientations and the technologies and processes that support them

Work Schedule

40 hours/week

Shift/Hours/Days: Varies based on recruitment cycles.
