The Epigenomics Core is seeking a highly motivated and organized research lab technician senior. With overall direction from the director of the Core, this individual will work independently and in a team environment on investigator projects as part of the fee for service activities of the core.
Responsibilities will be centered primarily around sample preparation for ChIP-Seq, ERRBS/mERRBS, hMeDIP and bisulfite treatment for sequencing on Illumina platforms. Additional responsibilities will include sample reception and quantification, quality control (PCR, qPCR, Agilent TapeStation, DNA & RNA extraction, bisulfite treatment for microarray platforms.
Bachelor's degree in Arts or Science and 1-2 years of experience is required. Prior experience working in a molecular biology lab, including prior experience in nucleic acid extractions, PCR and quantitative PCR. Excellent data recording and organizational skills. Excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The applicant should be detail oriented with a willingness to learn new skills and work independently, but still be a team player.
Master's degree in Science. Prior experience with Next generation library preparations.
