Customer service position providing clerical support in a health center environment. Able to employ effective customer service etiquette and customer recovery skills to meet the individual needs of customers. Must be able to work with patients, faculty and staff within a team setting. Schedule clinic appointments, maintain accurate patient demographics, PCP, and referring physician information. This position is primarily a check-out position with some check-in and call center responsibilities.
High School diploma or GED.
0-2 years of experience.
Some clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting.
Excellent verbal and written skills. Candidate must be an active team player and be able to work independently.
Strong organization and prioritization skills are required along with excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrated record of excellent attendance.
Exhibits professional and positive image when interacting with patients, faculty, and staff.
Able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
Clerical experience in medical hospital/office setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Previous experience with automated scheduling system.
Shift/Days: Days; Monday - Friday, some Saturdays 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
