Review, evaluate, and update patient medical and dental history. Use an electronic health record for clinical activities including periodontal charting and treatment notes. Complete intra and extra-oral soft tissue examination. Advise and instruct patients on appropriate oral health care. Expose and develop x-ray mounts. Provide oral health care to patients by cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth and restorations. Apply anti-carcinogenic agents to teeth, including fluoride and sealants. Monitor and stock hygiene supplies. Clean, disinfect and arrange work surfaces. Assist with other duties as needed including sterilization and assisting other team members where needed to support clinic operations. Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program. Current hygiene license to practice in the State of Michigan. Current BLS certification. Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Monday-Wednesday, 8am-5pm. Assignment begins ASAP and is expected to last until 07/01/2019.
