Job Summary

Write and edit content for a variety of media: school website, eNewsletters, press releases and others. Conduct research for story material online and through in-person interviews. Assist in transitioning content to new School of Information website ( and updating/maintaining content for the website, including writing and posting news stories and student profiles as assigned.

Hours: 20-29 hours per week

Time Frame: Summer 2019, Fall 2019, Winter 2020

Required Qualifications*

Strong writing and editing skills; excellent grammar and punctuation; ability to write persuasive promotional copy; ability to proofread carefully. 

Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel) and basic photo-editing skills (Photoshop).

Strong computer skills, with knowledge of website content principles. Content management systems experience desirable. 

Academic background in English, public relations, marketing, communications, or journalism suggested, but all concentrations considered.  Must be reliable and responsible.
