The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases, at the University of Michigan has an immediate opening for a junior or mid-level faculty appointment. Duties include patient care, teaching medical students, house officers and fellows and emerging or active research program in the areas of transplant infectious diseases and infections in immunocompromised hosts.
Successful candidates will have an MD or MD/PhD degree and will have completed an accredited training program in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan. Excellence in clinical care of children with infectious diseases is expected. Evidence of competence in clinical and didactic teaching is also expected. Scholarly activity in the form of an emerging or active research program, the development of clinical care guidelines, or participation in clinical trials is desired.
This position is posted as clinical instructor/clinical assistant professor/clinical associate professor/clinical professor. Rank of selected candidate is dependent upon qualifications.
