Job Summary

Assist in research by gathering data, administering tests, recording observations and measurements, and setting up and operating laboratory equipment.
Assist with completing lab documentation for inspections and ordering lab supplies and organizing stock of supplies. 
Perform routine experimental procedures in one or more areas of work under the supervision of higher level research staff.  
Set up materials and equipment for course instruction.  Help clean up after experiments.  
Perform moderately difficult statistical calculations.  Assist in routine computer analyses.  Perform library research on specified topics and prepares bibliography.

Required Qualifications*

HS Diploma or Assoc Degree and 0-1 year experience required.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Desired Qualifications*

Bachelor’s degree and 0-1 year of experience.  Experience with neurochemistry, brain histology and immunocytochemistry, rodent surgery, stereotaxic surgery, electrophysiology, Matlab and/or LabView desirable.
