About TIDL: TIDL is a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional team of faculty members, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, and community partners focused on improving psychosocial treatment for mental disorders and increasing access to evidence-based mental health treatments for traditionally underserved populations. Our lab utilizes community-based participatory approaches and technological innovations to achieve these aims. Our funded program builds on the interdisciplinary strength of the resource-rich, research-focused environment at the University of Michigan. 

University of Michigan School of Social Work is accepting applications for a Research Project Coordinator (Part Time). We are seeking candidates whose interest is in community-based research with an emphasis on family and peer support interventions for individuals with chronic physical and mental condition(s). We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Research Project Coordinator to assist in coordinating a Rogel Cancer Center funded study, aimed at developing tailored psychosocial and behavioral interventions for African American cancer survivors and caregivers after cancer treatment ends. 

Research Project Coordinator Responsibilities: Responsibilities and duties of the Research Project Coordinator include but are not limited to:

·    Managing project recruitment and developing recruitment protocols
·    Developing data collection protocols 
·    Data management and monitoring
·    Scheduling semi-structured interviews with participants
·    Assisting with conducting semi structured interviews with both cancer survivors and caregivers
·    Coordinating research visits, training, and supervision with community partners
·    Assisting with conducting focus groups with program staff 
·    Conducting a literature review
·    Communicating regularly with participants, community partners, and Principal Investigator, Katrina Ellis 
·    Monitoring project timelines, reporting deadlines, and progress towards project goals
·    Assisting with Institutional Review Board (IRB) reporting, amendments, and applications
·    Assisting with reports to project sponsors
·    Attending and facilitating project meetings

Required Qualifications*

Research Project Coordinator Qualifications: Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Public Health (MPH) or related degree is required. Candidate qualifications also include experience with: Excel, SPSS and other statistical applications; project management; participant recruitment; semi-structured interviews and focus groups; and, literature reviews and academic writing.  Please note that this position requires travel to and from both recruitment sites and interview sites.
