Job Summary

Assist the Occupational Therapist in working with Adult Rehab patients caring out complex testing and treatment procedures such as muscle testing, ADL, muscle re-education, endurace training and patient education.  Implement treatment programs for patients modifying programs as patient progresses with guidance from an Occupational Therapist.

Required Qualifications*

  • Requires an Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Current Michigan COTA License and NBCOT certification
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff is necessary
  • Will consider New Grads but prefer someone with some experience working with patients in Occupational Therapy or related field.

Work Schedule

Contingent will need to work 2-3, 8-9 hour weekend days per month minimum and can pick up additional hours if desired.  

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
