Job Summary

The College of Pharmacy is looking for a PhD student/candidate to conduct semi-structured interviews with providers in post-ICU or transition clinics and conduct qualitative thematic analyses. Clinic observations of patient flow through clinics will be used to create process maps.The person in this role will also assist the PI with general research assistant tasks such as conducting literature reviews, preparing posters and manuscripts, IRB support, and data entry/analysis.

Responsibilities*

  • Recruit providers, patients and caregivers from 4 sites
  • Conduct semi-structured interviews in clinics or over the phone
  • Observational studies, Qualitative data analysis
  • Assist with research assistant tasks (manuscript formatting, poster preparation, IRB, literature reviews)

Required Qualifications*

  • BS
  • 1-3 years experience as a research assistant
  • Experience conducting semi-structured interviews, observation studies, and qualitative analysis
  • Qualitative research methods
  • NVivo, REDCap, stastical packages (SAS, STATA)
  • Enjoys working in a team, strong oral and written scientific communication skills

Desired Qualifications*

  • M.S. preferred. The ideal candidate will be a PhD student/candidate in Sociology, Nursing, Social Work, Health Behavior & Health Education, Health Infrastructure & Learning Systems, or similar program.
