The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Clinical Subjects Associate. This person will be involved in an exciting and impactful study seeking an effective vaccine for COVID-19.

Act as the first contact for patients interested in participating in the vaccine trial.
Complete a brief screen of eligibility on all interested patients.
Scheduled patients to be seen in participating clinical sites and to complete Covid -19 testing at appropriate locations.
Initiate, route, and follow up on communications with study team using MiChart In Basket
Coordinate and facilitate communication between study teams as needed via phone, virtual meetings, and email.
Prepare patient itineraries and assemble and mail/email patient information packets.
Complete required documentation in MiChart as needed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent attendance record and punctuality.
- High standard of personal and professional conduct.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to interact with a diverse population and provide exemplary customer service.
- Must be an active team player with the ability to work independently.
- Must have strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Experience in healthcare and/or clinical trials.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Strongly Preferred: Experience Scheduling in MiChart
• Familiarity with Michigan Medicine Policies and Procedures
This is a one-year term limited position, with the possibility of extension. Extension will be based on the availability of funding and performance.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
