Responsibilities*

Primary responsibility for data processing, management, and analysis; preparation of manuscripts and reports. This includes cleaning and assembling datasets as well as requesting clarifications from the research sites.

Coordinate with research coordinators on data issues or submissions.

Establish SOPs for study data cleaning, storage and reproducibility and rigor. Oversee student temporary employees.

Participate in submission of NIH bimonthly and annual reports, including study enrollment, tracking of manuscript submissions to pubmed central. 

Work independently to draft text for grant submissions and work with department administrators to meet submission deadlines and requirements 

Edit study protocols and IRB applications; assure compliance with protocols, adherence to good clinical research practice guidelines, and all other federal, local, and University guidelines.

Required Qualifications*

Master's degree in public health, social science or related field with 4-5 or more years experience in data management; experience with SAS or R. Report or manuscript writing experience, management skills necessary for interaction with staff in multiple locations. 

Desired Qualifications*

Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, C++ or Visual Basic a plus. Knowledge and skills working with research projects, including familiarity with quantitative research methods of data collection and analysis preferred.

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification (Associate) depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

This position is term-limited for one year at the start of the appointment.
