This postdoctoral position is focused on discovering and engineering antibodies with tailored affinity and avidity properties to improve the performance of antibody-drug conjugates for cancer applications. The project aims to use molecular biology, biochemistry and cell culture methods for improving the generation and engineering antibodies for use as highly potent antibody-drug conjugates.
The duties of this position involve using molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology methods to generate and evaluate the affinities, avidities, specificities and cellular toxicities of monoclonal antibody variants as antibody-drug conjugates. The experimental methods that will be used in this project include yeast surface display, cell sorting methods (FACS/MACS), protein expression, mammalian cell culture, protein purification, antibody biochemical/biophysical characterization, and antibody cellular/organoid toxicity assays.
PhD in engineering, life sciences, pharmaceutical science, chemistry, physics or related fields. Required skills include some experience with molecular biology and biochemistry.
