The Garner Lab is looking to immediately fill a post-doctoral research fellow position. This is fully funded position to work on our lab's project focused on the discovery of new kinase-substrate interactions using chemoproteomics. The project will involve the use of biochemical, molecular and cellular biology, and chemical biology approaches to achieve the goal of identifying new kinases for a key translational regulator with connections to cancer and metabolic disorders. The duties of this position will involve protein expression/purification and mutagenesis, biochemical and cellular characterization of proteins through molecular/cellular biology approaches (e.g. Western blot, immunoprecipitation, qRT-PCR, FACS, cellular imaging, etc.) and proteomic analyses.
- PhD in chemical biology, biochemistry or molecular/cellular biology.
- Experience in biochemical and molecular biology techniques and mammalian cell tissue culture are required.
- Experience with proteomics and bioinformatics would be highly attractive.
