The UM-Flint School of Nursing has one LEO Lecturer opening for the Fall Semester beginning August 30th, 2021 teaching NUR 845 - Advanced Practice Role for the Nurse Executive Leader (Theory). This is a 2-credit online course in our MSN to DNP Program.
Course Description: Integration and synthesis of knowledge and theoretical insight for the nurse executive preparing for the Executive Nursing Practice certification exam. Forum for discussion of professional advanced practice, legal/ethical, political, business, and managed care issues; emphasis on credentialing requirements for certification.
Certification as a Nurse Executive Leader
Past history of 3-5 years in a position as a Director or Manager in an Advanced Practice clinical setting
Unencumbered RN Michigan license or eligibility for
Prefer Doctoral degree in Nursing Administration or Master of Business Administration
Prefer greater than 5 years director or manager experience
Prior experience teaching online
