Job Summary

Michigan Medicine’s Kellogg Eye Center is dedicated to improving lives around the world by enhancing vision. Located in culturally rich southeastern Michigan the department has over 100 clinical and research faculty and more than 500 employees in 10 different locations surrounding beautiful Ann Arbor. The department is deliberate in fostering a culture centered around the guiding principles of teamwork, caring, integrity, and innovation.

We are seeking to enhance our faculty by adding up to 2 positions for a clinician member of our comprehensive service to work in a dynamic and creative academic environment. Opportunities for partnering with other disciplines exist and the ideal candidate will be interested in innovative program development that addresses the clinical and research needs of our patients. Contributions toward teaching and administration are highly valued. 

We welcome applicants to apply who are Board-eligible or certified in ophthalmology. This full-time position is on the clinical track. Required Qualifications*

M.D., hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan, and be Board-eligible or Board-certified in Ophthalmology.  Evidence of clinical competency and competency in clinical and didactic teaching is also expected. Completed subspecialty fellowship training is highly desirable.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
