Job Summary

The Psychology Department is looking to hire part-time temporary student instructional aides to support multiple sections of PSY 319 Principles of Research Design and PSY 322 Basic Statistics and Probability courses for the Winter 2021 semester (approximately 2-3 hours per week, per section). Successful applicants will provide assistance to students learning statistical and/or research design concepts: 1) assist faculty with course materials, logistics and communication, such as interacting with students online via email, video conferencing and Blackboard course shell; 2) provide examples of course concepts, clarify definitions and descriptions of course materials, and 3) facilitate course skill development (e.g., writing, computation, critical thinking). Work will be performed remotely with the employee’s own computer and internet service. Instructional aides are not responsible for grading student work.

Required Qualifications*

* Must have earned a B final grade or higher in the course or courses for which they are hired to assist (PSY 319 - Principles of Research Design and/or PSY 322-Basic Statistics and Probability)

*Must be a current University of Michigan - Flint undergraduate student in good academic standing.
