This individual will join a team of andrologists, embryologists, and fertility healthcare providers with a longstanding track record of successful teamwork and program building. This embryologist will be mainly responsible for daily operations of the embryology portion of the ART lab, including perform all of aspects of human IVF lab procedures. The embryologist is also expected to cover reproductive hormone testing, andrology testing and therapeutic procedures as need-based (training will be provided). Responsibilities will include: i) participation in a robust QM/QC/QA/QI laboratory program; ii) all of embryology lab procedures, such as oocyte retrieval, ICSI, vitrification, thaw, and embryo transfer; iii) endocrine testing, andrology diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. Participation is expected to adhere to lab SOP, apply high reliability principles and work with clinic staff to improve patient quality of care, safety, and clinic workflows. This position directly reports to the Technical Supervisor/Laboratory Director.
The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in biological or related sciences. Proven knowledge in the reproductive field and experience on working with gametes and embryos. The candidates need to strictly follow the laboratory’s policy and procedure. Attention to detail, great hand and eye coordination skill, ability to learn quickly, good documentation practice, excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of the team are essential. Evidence of participation in quality and data management is required. Familiarity with computer programs in Microsoft Office is required, including Word and Excel. Must be eligible to work in the US (citizen or permanent resident).
Three-years hand-on experiences in the clinical embryology laboratory. Competence in all aspects of embryology procedures, including ICSI and embryo biopsy. Technical Supervisor certification by American Board of Bioanalysis or highly commit to be certificated within 2 years. Experience with electric medical record system, such as Epic.
This position entails some weekend and holiday work on a rotation basis with other colleagues.
