Zero to Thrive is seeking a Data Manager to manage research databases. The Data Manager will work under the supervision of Principal Investigators and Senior Methodologist to complete all activities including conducting and overseeing data entry, data cleaning and organization, writing syntax, managing research databases, creation of codebooks and data dictionaries and performing analysis. This is a grant funded, full-time position opportunity and a multiple year commitment is preferred.
Manage research databases which includes overseeing data entry, cleaning and storage. Create datasets including writing syntax. Train and oversee research assistants in data entry and verification. Ensure data is transferred for independent coders in a manner according to data management safety guidelines.
Prepare data files for analyses by statisticians and other research team members under the supervision of PIs, Methodologist and project coordinators. Work independently to perform data analysis, data transformations and descriptive statistics. Translate and interpret results. Work with research team in developing and designing research measure protocols. Work with faculty to assist with dissemination of results including manuscripts and report writing.
Update IRB regarding data management as needed
- Bachelor's degree in related field, Master's preferred.
- 1-3 years related experience
- Experience with SPSS
- Experience creating data sets, writing syntax and codes & performing data analyses
- Ability to work well independently and prioritize tasks
- Experience with SAS, Research Data Experience
- Works well with other members of team
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to balance attention between multiple tasks
