The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking to recruit additional faculty members in multiple sub-specialties. Searches are already underway for clinical in the following-areas:
- Medical retina
These positions entail providing outstanding care in Ann Arbor and surrounding communities as well as supporting the strategic growth of Michigan Medicine. We are seeking faculty who desire to work as part of a team interested in innovative approaches and partnering with diverse disciplines to address the complex needs of our patients.
We welcome applicants to apply who are Board-eligible or certified in ophthalmology for full-time positions on the clinical track. M.D., hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan, and be Board-eligible or Board-certified in Ophthalmology. Evidence of clinical competency and competency in clinical and didactic teaching is also expected. Completed subspecialty fellowship training is highly desirable.
This position is posted as Clinical Instructional - Clinical Assistant Professor. The rank of the selected candidate will depend upon candidate's qualifications.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
