  • You will document and deliver system training to operational staff and customers while investigating/resolving abnormalities in data or system functions
  • Manage access to information systems and tools, as well as creating/resolving help desk tickets
  • You will function as a lead to identify, plan, and execute major projects focusing on implementation of new technologies and/or interfaces between clinical and supply chain systems
  • You will develop and document system and business requirements using standard templates and forms, including project management tasks (process flows, test scripts, testing scenarios, and training)
  • You will perform limited project tasks including required resources and time estimates, and milestone and task planning
  • You will develop and maintain PeopleSoft queries and other information resources as needed, while responding to customer inquiries about technology and use from other sources
  • You will demonstrate proficient knowledge of principles, practices, standards, technologies, and procedures related to competent business systems analysis including adapting to new documentation standards
  • You will apply different and unrelated processes and problem solving methods to complete portfolio of assignment while demonstrating excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • You will recommend operations practices, methods of process and facilitate change effectively
  • You will effectively communicate the impact of decisions on customer department business operations using timely responses and presentations sensitive to the viewpoints of all involved.
  • Work autonomously with little direct supervision to maintain an organized work load as well as maintaining confidentiality with clinical, management and other organizational data/information
  • Develop and deliver presentations and speak publicly as an advocate for supply chain while promoting cooperation and effectively overseeing relationships
  • Work with other technology partners to resolve system-related issues

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 2- 5 years of experience with ERP and/or EHR data systems including system and interface configuration, robust testing activities and successful implementation
  • Expertise with Excel, Word, Visio, Access, MS Project and other support tools to perform job functions
  • Significant experience developing flow charts, business process maps, standard work instructions, and system testing requirements and scenarios
  • Experience in successfully implementing technology solutions including advances in software utilization, interfaces, and mobile technology
  • Demonstrated curiosity and innovation in solving customer problems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all phases of Software Development lifecycle

Desired Qualifications*

  • 5 years of experience in health care supply chain environment
  • Experience working with financial, operational and clinical data and systems
  • PeopleSoft Supply Chain Management modules especially Supply Chain Management and Inventory Management
  • Reasonable knowledge of University of Michigan’s and Michigan Medicine’s business functions
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and project management skills
  • Proven application of LEAN problem solving tools

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday with limited on call and weekend hours as work requires

Background Screening
