Job Summary

The University of Michigan-Dearborn Department of Athletics & Recreation is seeking a play-by-play broadcaster for UM-Dearborn athletic events. This individual will be under the direction of the Sports Information Director and will be responsible for enhancing the viewership and listening experience for UM-Dearborn fans. 

Most assignments will be for UM-Dearborn home games, with possible away games as requested. Primary sports for assignment will be basketball, ice hockey, volleyball, baseball and softball, along with other events as requested.  The play-by-play broadcaster will be paired with a color commentator for all events.

Required Qualifications*

• Have a strong knowledge of various sports and be able to provide analysis and information throughout broadcasts.
• Able to work weeknights and weekends.
• Excellent communication skills and be engaging to various constituents, while using correct pronunciation at all times.

Desired Qualifications*

• Have experience working as a play-by-play broadcaster at the collegiate or professional sports levels
