The Michigan Medicine Talent Team is seeking a Manager of Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition. This position will be responsible for leading a team of Talent Acquisition professionals, partnering with department on workforce planning, and overseeing the talent acquisition and recruitment processes and strategies across Michigan Medicine.

Report to the Senior Director of HR Strategy & Organizational Effectiveness and be a member of the Michigan Medicine HR Leadership team allowing you to collaborate on departmental operational decisions.
Talent Acquisition- 80%
Manage recruitment, selection and placement programs throughout Michigan Medicine.
Analyze workforce and applicant sourcing trends to proactively identify and implement talent acquisition solutions which meet business objectives and enable a viable workforce.
Supervise the performance of a team of talent acquisition professionals and assistants.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, develop talent acquisition strategies which support a strong, recognizable employer brand for local and national employment markets.
Recommend process improvements and new technologies to support continuous improvement of talent acquisition practices.
Champion proven sourcing techniques to identify and engage talent with greatest potential for success at MM and serve as an administrator and recruiter on online recruitment platforms.
Establish, maintain and grow relationships with community organizations, professional organizations and employment agencies in order to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified talent.
Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to identify talent for at-risk departments and mission critical positions.
Develop and implement talent acquisition plans to support growth and expansion projects.
Provide guidance to promote efficient, legal and inclusive hiring practices and procedures consistent with Michigan Medicine institutional employment policies, procedures and state and federal employment law.
Workforce Planning 20%
Assess pertinent internal and external labor markets to identify projected alignment with future Michigan Medicine workforce needs
Develop and manage talent management strategies (e.g., build vs. buy) to support the required future workforce.
Contribute to the development of workforce planning tools for use by clients in planning and forecasting productivity and staffing complement.
Propose and analyze key performance metrics and trends to support workforce planning activities.
A minimum of Seven (7) years of talent acquisition experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 2 years of previous supervisory experience leading teams including coaching and guiding others.
Experience with talent acquisition platforms and applicant tracking systems
Demonstrated ability to engage, motivate and work with others in a diverse environment.
Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills
Ability to travel to MM locations within state as needed.
Five (5) years recruitment experience within a large healthcare organization
Applied knowledge of PeopleSoft, eRecruit, and employment assessments.
Experience with social media recruitment administration
Proficiency in project management including establishing project plans, identifying partners and their interests and allocating resources to accomplish goals.
Experience supporting company-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives through talent acquisition
