Provide nursing care and instruction to Podiatry patients according to established institutional and unit policies.
Assist with phone work and phone notes as delegated by providers, including medication refills.
Order wound care and other supplies for patients as delegated by providers.
Provide post clinic care phone calls to patients.
Apply provider supervised dressing changes as directed.
Assist with podiatric procedures.
Completion of required patient paperwork.
Administer and document medications according to established standards.
Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations.
Instruct patients and families on nail care, foot hygiene, wounds care, postoperative and post injury care as directed by provider.
Participate in unit staff meetings for problem-solving and improvements in patient care.
Assist in quality assurance activities
Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Graduation from an approved school for practical nursing
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan
- Must have at least two (2) years LPN experience (within the last 5 years) in an outpatient clinic setting
