Mission Statement

Responsibilities*

To evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders and disabilities, to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance, using physical modalities and exercise as prescribed by a physician.

This position is a contingent/PRN positon that will work on the inpatient rehabilitation team.  

Required Qualifications*

  • Degree in physical therapy or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. 
  • Rehab experience or internship program completion is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment is necessary. 
  • Possession of a current State license to practice physical therapy in Michigan is necessary. 

Work Schedule

Contingent will work 1-2 weekends per month, with a possibility of working additional hours per week as needed or desired.  Possible opportunity to expand additional temp hours working with Acute Care patient population.  

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
