Our Michigan Ross Full-time MBA Admissions team is looking for a Senior Associate Director of Diversity Admissions. You will be a member of the full-time MBA admissions committee who will report directly to the Director of FTMBA Admissions. You will oversee the execution of outreach and recruitment programs focused on candidates from underrepresented backgrounds in business education. Through a high degree of collaboration with Michigan Ross stakeholders including senior leadership, admissions committees, students, alumni, and external partners you will evaluate these efforts as well. You will envision how to best attract the next generation of world class leaders to the Michigan Ross MBA program. You will also represent Michigan Ross at events throughout the world working with prospects, alumni, and major employers and universities.

Responsibilities*

  • Develop a strategy, outreach and execution plan to recruit and yield applicants with an emphasis on those historically underrepresented in top master's programs including underrepresented minorities (URM), LGBTQ+, women, veterans, and first-generation.
  • Develop partnerships with the Consortium, Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), Riordan and other partner organizations to increase brand awareness and foster outreach efforts to diverse populations.
  • Work with the Director of FTMBA Admissions, Senior Associate Director of Operations, Chief Diversity Officer, Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Dean's Advisory Council for Diversity as requested to represent the FTMBA admissions team and report on diversity admissions activities.
  • Develop partnerships with our student leaders (VP of Admissions, VP of Diversity, Consortium Student Liaisons, Ross Student Ambassadors) to support admissions outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Plan and attend recruitment and admitted student events, including interview weekends, visitation days, admitted student weekends, live events, virtual chats, and Q&A sessions.
  • Manage a budget focused on strategic opportunities to improve diversity admissions outreach, recruitment, and yield.
  • Serve on the admissions committee to read, evaluate, and deliberate applications for admission and financial aid, and participate in admission reader training.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years' of experience attracting and interviewing qualified graduate level candidates from diverse backgrounds, or analogous experience in higher education or demanding talent environments; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience taking initiatives and accomplishing high-quality actions to achieve results, without direct hierarchical control.
  • Experience shaping strategic plans in the areas of DEI & recruitment and ensuring successful execution against agreed-on plans and goals.
  • Experience managing complex projects, developing detailed project plans, and organizing and analyzing data.
  • Work evenings or weekends occasionally and ability to travel.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Master's of Business Administration
  • Experience in admissions, recruiting, marketing or consulting including assessing candidates, evaluating talent and building relationships.
