Responsibilities*

   40% Salesforce Administration

Provide support for current and future Salesforce/TargetX CRM operations, functionality, and users.  Work with campus units to develop reports, dashboards, and other communication tools by exposing appropriate data for analysis.Monitor Salesforce and the related systems to ensure the highest level of data integrity.  Leverage new or existing tools to streamline the management of business processes, data extract, and data transformation/normalization. Conduct an annual review/cleanup of database fields/objects, tables, and relational database links within Salesforce. Monitor and maintain both user accounts/permissions and data access control of the Salesforce/TargetX CRM at an organization, object, field, and record level.

   40% Salesforce Integration/Application Development

Build data connections to existing institutional systems (Banner, data warehouses, etc) and custom applications (WordPress website, web applications, Google Forms, etc) to enable bi-directional data-flow between these systems and Salesforce, ensuring the required data transformation is designed and implemented correctly.

   10% Salesforce Architecture

Assist CRM Architect with designing, building, and implementing campus-wide solutions.  Ensure the highest level of data integrity is maintained within Salesforce/TargetX.  Assist CRM Architect with any additional CRM related tasks as needed.

   10% Professional Development

Learn and maintain Salesforce/TargetX CRM knowledge and skills to become a subject matter expert for our Salesforce/TargetX CRM instances.  Stay current with relevant advances in technology.  This can include: on-the-job training, technical courses/conferences, research, and certifications.

 

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical or science field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing complex data across multiple relational databases, data stores, systems, and/or applications.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a software developer.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Salesforce environment, e.g., with the core CRM product, Marketing Cloud, automating workflows, or developing custom objects, fields, and tables.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, logical, and problem solving skills.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience with Informatica, APIs, and/or Axiom.

  • Experience with Ellucian products, ex: Banner, Degreeworks.

  • Experience with APEX.

  • Experience in Higher Education.

  • 2-3 years of experience operating a Salesforce/Education Cloud environment.

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator with a minimum of 1 year of experience in that role or equivalent experience for both.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrable experience troubleshooting complex technical issues.

  • Project and/or change management experience.
