Seeking an exceptional candidate at the postdoctoral level to perform scientific studies involving chromatin confirmation capture, cellular reprogramming, and transcriptomics. The experiments will be aimed at understanding how chromosome configuration changes drive carcinogenesis and generation of stem like cells. The candidate will perform wet lab studies to develop data-driven models of interconnected dynamical systems and perform analysis using state-of-the-art computational pipelines. The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a translational scientific environment that integrates functional and structural genomics with bioinformatics. The candidate will work in the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics and the Rogel Cancer Center under the joint supervision of Drs. Indika Rajapakse and Max Wicha. External collaborations with the National Cancer Institute and other Universities will be encouraged.

- Perform Hi-C and PORE-C, RNAseq at the bulk and single cell level, and data analysis on assigned and/or original research projects, working with laboratory PIs and project personnel including external collaborators.

PhD in Biochemistry / Epigenetics, Molecular and Cell Biology or related discipline is required. Knowledge of gene expression, co-expression networks. A strong interest in bioinformatics is desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Demonstrated ability to develop manuscripts and deliver presentations.
