The University of Michigan Department of Pediatrics is seeking an experienced clinician-scholar to serve as the Director of the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology. The Director will lead a team that currently includes four pediatric rheumatologists and one faculty member with joint appointments in pediatric and adult rheumatology; recruitment of additional faculty members is anticipated. There is a well-established Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship program, and opportunity for joint Pediatric/Medicine Rheumatology fellowship training.
The Division Director is expected to oversee and expand programs to deliver state-of-the-art rheumatology care and research, and to promote the academic career development of faculty and fellows.
Successful candidates will have a strong track record of scholarship and national recognition in their field, and ideally be eligible for appointment as Associate /Full Professor.
Requirements include an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree; eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Michigan, and certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, Pediatric Rheumatology sub-board. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected.
This position is posted as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor (instructional track). Track and rank of selected candidate is dependent upon qualifications.
