Job Summary

Screens recruitment of subjects and schedules trial related procedures.  Collects patient and laboratory data for clinicl research projects.  Collects specimens and monitors subjects.

Clinical Activities

  • Obtain patient concent
  • Screen recruitment subjects
  • Schedule trial related procedures

Clinical Research

  • Collect patient and laboratory data
  • Collect specimens and monitor subjects
  • Deliver specimens to the research lab, if applicable

Data Entry & Administrative Actibity

  • Review, Edit, adn write publications
  • Maintain IRB on trials
  • Oversee research students

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor degree in biomedical or health-related sciences.  Ability to work independently as well as cooperatibely with others, good verbal and written communication skills.  The ability to multi-tasks and sustain a high level  of organization and punctual and detail oriented.   

Desired Qualifications*

Experience with e-Research, MiChart, electronic data entry and management.  Knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience working with patients in a healthcare setting. Prior clinical research experience.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
